Personally, some of the best looks I've seen come from red-carpet events, so entertainment magazines are always a favorite of mine. You might also search for words or phrases that resonate with you. I nd mine by reading daily devotions and using them toward my business and craft.I like to consider what the words mean and how they relate to my work in the studio. Consider directing your creative juices to something other than hair. For me, this might mean working on the look of our new locations, thinking about the topics I would like covered at Gina's Education Experience (a convention for beauty professionals), or updating the look of my of ce. Being creative in a different area of my life can help me get in the right mindset for the salon. INVEST IN SELF-CARE One terri c technique I use to trigger creativity is taking time for myself. I notice that when I'm engaged in a favorite hobby or indulging in a good book, new ideas begin to surface. These activities take me away from my normal routine. This mental break doesn't have to be long; it can be as short as 30 minutes, but that little bit of time can be signi cant in fueling creative thoughts. As a music lover, putting on the right music can help me thrive creatively. Like music, exercise can also play a signi cant role in sparking creativity, thanks to the feel-good endorphins it releases. No matter if I'm playing tennis or going on a walk, the endorphins always get me thinking of new ideas that can contribute to developing my passion in the salon. GO BACK TO YOUR ROOTS I love watching artists create. I'm always captivated by the innovative techniques and stunning nished looks. I love roaming our locations and watching clients with amazing looks exit our suites. I'm mesmerized by the constant creativity others display. Sometimes, it's as simple as going back to your roots as a stylist. I like to re ect on my journey as a businesswoman. This instantly brings me back to remembering my why, which always inspires me. Your next inspiration may be right in front of you. Once you relax, it'll be easier to recognize what you need. sincerely media/unsplash
