Febo completed her practical at the El Conquistador Resort, Edouard de Paris Salon, in Puerto Rico. "My very first day I walked into a fashion show," she remembers. "I supported the stylists with hair, makeup, and wardrobe, and for the first time in my life, I felt like I belonged. Here I learned to manage a salon, book groups for weddings and gala events, do inventory, etc. But it wasn't until I cut my first design on a little boy's head that I was forever changed." After cutting that first star into a head of hair, Febo wondered what else she could create. "I began to teach myself how to create art on hair," she says. "Once I was licensed, I decided to move back to the States. I was living in the projects of Puerto Rico, and it was time to move on. I moved to Colorado in 2012 with $200 in my pocket, my portfolio, and a plastic bin of whatever I could fit in it." Today, Febo resides in Bury St Edmunds, England, and is COO of HairFluent Studio, as well as global educator for the Andis Company and international trainer for John Paul Mitchell Systems.
