N ot a m e m b e r ? J o i n at a s so c iate d h a i rp rofe s sio n a ls .c o m 55 From the Executive Director B ecoming an established hair pro requires hard work, time, and money. Are your career and financial livelihood protected? Or for that matter, supported and flourishing? If not, then it's time you take the next step in your professional journey. Join Associated Hair Professionals (AHP) to get the protection and support all hair pros need. I sometimes feel like a broken record—I'm always sharing the importance of having liability insurance and belonging to an association. I'm always surprised when I speak to hair pros from across the country. Many of them don't belong to a professional association or have liability insurance, much less have access to ongoing advice and resources to navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship. If you have already seen the light and are an AHP member, are you using all the benefits, connections, and resources included with professional membership? Our research says you're not. It's time to "call in your bet" and get the VIP access that AHP membership provides. (Can you tell I've been hanging out in Las Vegas for all the recent beauty events?) The AHP team and I have put this special section together to highlight what AHP provides for only $199 per year. In the next few pages, we highlight some of the best benefits that you shouldn't miss, and you'll hear from some of our successful AHP members. And as always, if there is something you would like us to create or include in membership that would make your job easier, send me your wish list at tdonley@associatedhairprofessionals.com. I hope to see you at one of the upcoming hair pro events across the country.
