Sew-In Extensions These extensions can look flawless and feel very secure. They are a great option for clients wanting to give their natural hair a break from the normal day-to-day wear and tear; looking to grow their hair out; or wanting a completely new style, length, or look without drastically changing their natural hair. A sew-in extension can last 6–8 weeks, and depending on speed, can take 3–6 hours to install. An install usually ranges from $100–$600, so if your client comes to you every eight weeks, you can expect to receive as much as $3,600 per year from just one client. As you can see, there are many options and price ranges for hair extensions. Just adding extensions to your salon menu can increase your bottom line—without adding clientele.
