is laughed out of
Court 9, Queen's
Bench Division

Court of Justice
in the Strand for
announcing she
was a barber.
1922—Lorena
Upper, a barber
who owns a
barbershop, is
charged under the
"red light" law on
the allegation she
is using rooms in
the building at
309 Holly Street,
Bellingham,
Washington,
for "immoral
purposes." She
is fined $300 and
prohibited from
using her shop
for 6 months. She
denies the charges.
