SO DO YOU STILL CUT HAIR, OR JUST DO EDITORIAL HAIR, OR ARE YOU DIRECTING . . . Haha . . . Just what are you doing, right? OK. So, yes, I do have clients, but obviously I have to figure out where I'm going to spend my time. There's only so many hours in the day. And there's the work to do. I really never cut hair. I was trained as a colorist, and I took on styling when I worked at Paul Mitchell. I was there for 10 years, and they have you specialize; you either work as a cutter or as a colorist. So I really focused my career on color, and I do a lot of teaching work around that. So all that to say, I still do color clients, and I still style for events. Honestly, I enjoy people, and I have a great bunch of clients I consider friends. POST-COVID, IS IT BEST TO WORK WITH A BIG BRAND? Hmmm, that's really hard to say. I still don't know what the shifts are going to be. I understand the challenges, but I don't know how it's going to evolve—or if it's ever going to evolve. I still think you need your own identity first to figure out what brings you joy and what type of work you like to do. If your goals align with a large company, then I think it's a good fit, but I wouldn't recommend someone chase after a big brand. People see big companies as an easy paycheck, which they're not. Job security is a thing of the past. Companies are going to shift and shake how they see fit for their business.
