Our photo shoots are usually super relaxed,
and we always end up with images we are proud
to put our names on. Now I'm a wife and mama
of four wild little humans just trying to find
balance in a career I love and with a family
that comes first. Doing photoshoots and
competing is my creative outlet that's just for
me to pour my soul into. It's my happy place.
HOW HAS BUSINESS CHANGED
SINCE THE COVID-19 OUTBREAK?
I think it would be naive to say business hasn't
changed since COVID, because the world
has changed. I think we were forced to slow
down. I used that time to educate myself
and figure out what's important to me in
my career. At the root of it all, our business
is about the relationships we form with our
clients, and that has not changed; if anything,
it has made us appreciate each other more.
WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE
FOR NEW HAIRSTYLISTS?
My best piece of advice is to keep learning
and keep pushing yourself out of your
comfort zone. Education is power; we work
in an industry that is always changing
and growing.
Don't be the one to hold yourself backākeep
moving forward.
