Separate the hair into five sections: two in the back, two on the sides, and one on the top. 2. Beginning in the back, apply Formula A from roots to ends. 3. On the sides, take diagonal back subsections and apply Formula A at the base, and then paint Formula B diagonally back, saturating the ends. 4. For the top section, take three back-to-back slices and apply Formula B from roots to ends, starting at the front hairline. 5. Next, take two teased slices and apply Formula B, first to the mid shaft downward, and then feathering toward the teased base. Once all the foils are done, apply Formula A to the remaining hair between the foils. 6. Process for 30 minutes without heat. After 30 minutes, check the foils and, if needed, allow to process until the desired level is reached. 7. Once the color has finished processing, rinse hair; follow with Kenra Platinum Prime Shampoo and Conditioner. In the bowl, pre-tone with Formula C and process up to 5 minutes. Pre-toning will help to keep the warm, desired end result from being brassy. 8. Rinse again. Then shampoo and condition, towel blot the hair, and apply Formula D. Comb through and process for up to 20 minutes. 9. After rinsing, apply Kenra Volume Mousse Extra and Smoothing Blowout to the hair before blow-drying. Finish with a cocktail of Kenra Platinum Luxe Shine Oil and Kenra Volume Spray 25. By placing most of the highlights toward the face, you can provide a bold but modern look.
