Hello, Fabulous!
"W hen is the right time to reopen and see
clients?" You're probably asking yourself this
question at this moment. Unfortunately, that
is not a question Associated Hair Professionals
(A HP) can answer for you. Because of the
possibility of asymptomatic transmission of the
novel coronavirus, every choice we make right
now has a risk attached. This will likely be one
of the most difficult, personal, and polarizing
questions you may ever have to answer.
Parts of the country are dedicated to
reopening businesses in the midst of uncertainty.
A nd while we can't determine for you your
own comfort levels, or your clients', we can
assist with ideas, protocols, and best practices
for when you decide open your doors again.
AHP Indie Stylist is our new bimonthly
publication, created to speak directly to you, the
independent hairstylist, barber, and manicurist. In
this inaugural issue, Sasha Chaitow, PhD, debunks
many of the myths surrounding this novel virus.
We also have included industry experts and global
artists who share what they have been doing
during their three-month quarantine and offer
advice and resources for getting back to business.
We hope you enjoy this issue, and we
wish you health and safety.
